Knife for the wife

Ask.

The women in my life are a practical lot and none of them would want a pink knife. They all have pronounced opinions and more experience than most men. Making assumptions based on gender is a very risky business.

I believe we all suggested the colors that we did based on what was described in the original post of this thread. I don't think anyone was making any assumptions based on her gender.

Just remember, the more you pay for the knife you buy for her ....................

The more you can pay for a knife YOU want.

What about a slip joint in abalone, mother of pearl, or one of the other more interesting/colorful styles?

+1. My wife carries a small Buck Yellow Pearl Tiny Tooth Pick that I picked up from SMKW for about $10.00. Don't under estimate these little knives they do make nice cutters for a womans everyday needs.

OKAY A PINK SPY NATIVE IS NEXT..........SOMEONE GOT ONE FOR SALE OR TRADE...................................

My wife's favorite for the last six or so years has been her Kershaw Rainbow Chive. I've bought her others, but she still carries that Chive - and I keep it sharp for her. That pays dividends. Her 'wants', knife-wise, are minimal. She does know enough to buy me what I want. The week before last, for example, she called the local pusher's and talked with our friend there, describing the knife I wanted as the 'Ugly black B-M with the uglier white bird (butterfly) on it.'. That night, she came in - knew about my less than stellar day - and said I needed a hug - there was that blue B-M box in her jeans' back pocket - with the new/old stock 720 in it - yeah!! A little knife kindness - big dividends. And... it was her moola - not mine - or ours (The House!), so I still have mad money...

My wife loves her FRN Dragonfly, but we are currently looking for a Green Salsa, she loves green and loves that little pepper etched on the handle...

My wife actually grabbed a Buck Metro off the shelf the other day asking why she didn't have one, they have some feminine designs.
