W2 blade is 3 3/4 and handle is 4 1/4
brass bolsters my uncle is older and like the warmth of brass as he explained it. i soldered the brass to thin coper sheet and also has a hidden pin. the handle is stabalized Eucalyptis burl. Gets shaving sharp very easy

I can't see anything wrong with that one Dakaota

I really like the copper liner/brass bolster. Well done.

Great looking Hamon !! Finished very nice !!

The only thing I could suggest, and this will come with time, would be to thin your handle out a bit more and add some contour to it. As it stands, it still looks to be a very comfortable, user friendly handle.

Again, well done. Keep-on-Truck'in ;) Your skills are coming along quite nice IMHO :)

I really like this one Dakota. Your hamon control is really nice... and while I don't typically like brass much, you really made it look good.

Really nice! I like brass even though many frown on it! What is the thick black spacer between the bolster and the handle? Is is just a thick spacer material and where did you get it from?

That looks very nice. All of the angles, joints, and seams are very clean. The hamon is nicely done.

Overall shape looks good, very usable. For a skinner, not contouring isn't such a bad thing since you'll hold the knife in so many different manners.

Good job.

thanks for the comments guys. i know if you guys like it my uncle will surely be impressed. Not sure on how i would go about contouring the handle?. the handle in the picture may look large and fat but in reality its only .650 thick so basically just a hair thicker then a half inch. its very comfortable in the hand as all the corners are rounded and flows pretty nice. the black seperating the brass and the wood is liner material i got from midwest knife supply. it come in a package with a few other colors and its is somewhat thick. I appreciate you comments only way to get better is by others pointing things out that i miss.

The picture didn't really show, but the blade looked really thin at the tip. Do you worry about it snapping? I really like the tip and the design on the blade.

Zaph1 the tip is .020 not to worried about it snapping off my uncle knows how to use a knife. I mean sure it you tried to use it for a screwdriver it would more then likely break at some point depending on the amount of torque put on it. I tested an exact copy of this knife with same heat treat and dropped it 5 ft onto a steel plate and it gouged the plate and didnt hurt the knife as far as i can tell

I like the thin tip.I would rather have a knife that will cut than one I can use as a screw driver.
