Knife for wife - getting there, but..

What about a Protec Godfather? Small auto, I have the TR-2 auto. It is stout to close, button open. The Godfather is a small knife that may fit her needs.

What about the Ka-bar Dozier hunting folder? That one is very light and it has a lock back. I don't know if it would cause a problem for her but it might be worth consideration. Just throwing out some ideas. Maybe also one of the smaller spyderco knives like the ambitious? It should be easy to open with the large spydie hole and it has a good sized liner so she could close it.

Great writeup, but you lost me with repeated mention of "stiffness". :-(((

Thanks, I thought that might be a concern. I try to make sure that my reviews give an accurate idea of use. And the Cryo G10 is certainly stiff.

Here you go, photos of a Svord Mini Peasant with polymer scales and objects for size comparisons. The misses is tiny, as I have stated earlier, only 4'8", so it may very likely be a bit smaller in hand on your end.

In this last photo, you can see where the tang rests in relation to her fingers and you could see that it wouldn't be just her thumb acting as a lock on it. In fact, half of her hand is applying pressure on the tang while using it. The two screws can be tightened independently of one another to hold closed on the tip harder to ensure that it only opens when you want it to and the other will effect how free it does swing once it had started to be opened and will also act as a secondary keeping the blade open without pressure bring maintained on the tang.

Good luck.
