Knife from 2" to 3" with assisted opening

Aus8 is ok, very easy to sharpen and takes a pretty good edge. It can't compete with ZDP when it comes to edgeholding, but then it doesn't come with a ZDP pricetag either ;)

The blink looks like a very thin knife, like it could fit in a wallet. It's probably quite comfortable to carry (but so is the leek). It doesn't play in the same class as the Ti/ZDP Leek when it comes to materials though, and that's reflected in the price. You could buy three of those blinks for the price of one Ti/ZDP Leek.

Maybe someone here has both knives and could chime in?

Well, the Leek would cost me nearly 300EUR VAT, customs and shipping included.
On the other side AUS8 is not even on par with 440C.

So I'm nearly quitting...unless I'll buy a completely different folder like a Small Sebbie. Yet is insanely high on price here in Italy. Is there a honest reseller in Europe? Any link?

Otherwise I'll go Extrema Ratio Pitbull

300 euro?!?! OUCH!

The Ti/ZDP Leek is good, but 300EUR is WAY too much IMO.

Sorry, I don't know of any european knife resellers. I buy most knives from the US, as all I have to pay to get them into Norway is 25% VAT (which is still way too much). I didn't know Italy had such exteme import taxes, and I thought Norway was bad :(

That Extrema Ratio Pitbull looks nice though :)

Don't expect wonders, they are all quite expensive compared to American sites, but maybe you get lucky.

Wow! I like this knife, I mean I really like it! The price is quite good also. Thanks for the heads-up.

Thanks to you for the links and yes, Extrema Ratio really makes very good knives, good also for your pocket ;-)
I've a Shrapnel, which comes with Zirconium CaboNitride coating, kydex sheath and Tek-Lock at under 169EUR.
Some time ago I went to their factory in Prato, near Florence, and received a hot welcome from one of the owners, with a free resharpening of my Fulcrum II folder AND a free sheath for it....
They are also lifetime warranted.

Coming back to my choice: I made up my mind for a Fallkniven P folder, the one made of VG10.
I've Shrapnel for hard works, a Kevin Wilkins F4 S90V TiAlN coated as a large spectrum EDC and P is more than enough for remaining tasks (i.e.: urban friendly EDC).

What about P model in your toughts?

New Graham Knives DOES ship Internationally. They are exccellent to deal with, and I highly recommend them. http://www.newgraham.com/

Yes they do ship but...
http://www.newgraham.com/faq.aspx
"Q. Does New Graham accept International Orders?

A. Yes, On international orders we will ship either USPS Global Priority or Global Express which ever one is available to your country, price will be figured after order is placed and we have shipping information.

****New Policy: All new International Customers must use Western Union for payment, we will not accept other forms of payment from NEW international customers. Please contact us for more information.
"

Thus....

Daberti,

Well... USPS is good but Western Union sucks big time.

Fallkniven makes excellent knives no doubt, but the P has no pocket clip so it will be cumbersome to carry. Anyway, all Fallkniven models are made by Seki Cut in Japan. The model called Seki Cut Hiro Little Blue Folder is exactly the same knife but it will cost you about 15 euros less.

WU is NOT a way to pay. They catch you a percentage and then the usual story...customs, VAT and shipping.

Yes the Hiro is an alternative, and it has Ti liners, but I got my P1 for 150EUR VAT included from my local reseller (from which I can recover VAT, BTW). With some rough estimate I would spend the same for Hiro (shipping, VAT, duties etc) without having the chance to recover VAT.
Unless there is some on Ebay....but I could not find...

I couldn't find any literature about P1's washers: Teflon, Bronze?
Anyone knows?

Cheers

I have the G10 Leek, the Mini-Cyclone and the ZDP Leek, and all three are great knives. The ZDP Leek at the bottom of this pic is my favorite.

Kershaw Scallion. I like mine. They retail for about $35 to $40, but you can find them cheaper.
