Knife from UAE

A fellow faculty member was given a knife by a student from United Arab Emirates and was told by a dealer that it could be worth over $100k if origination were known. It is a curved blade with silver and leather sheath and a belt with gold and silver threads. Can anyone give a suggested professional source in the Pacific NW area?

If a knife was worth 100K its not something you just give away. IMHO thats a nice story. But thats about all it is IMHO. There is a maker from the middle east whos work is highly cherished and worth lots of money but in most cases its like finding a knife in a barn and saying "it may be an original scagel" just because those have been found in barns. Im not saying its an impossibility but probability is very low.
