Knife Giveaway Help!

Hey guys,

So I'm looking for some suggestions here. I'm thinking about doing a knife giveaway for my 500th post. 500th you say? Not 1,000th? I know. It's a little weird but I figure why not.

So the point of this thread is I want to determine what would be the most desired knife within reasonable boundaries. There's so many options that I want to hear what most of you guys want!

Here's some parameters I'm setting:

1. It can be a fixed blade or folder
2. Something that's $80 or less. I think that's a pretty reasonable price range although you guys are welcome to disagree with me.
3. You may only suggest one folder and one fixed blade

So keep this thread updated with running tally's of the three or four most requested knives and we'll go from there!

Current Tally (Top Three Suggestions):

Spyderco Manix II - 8

Benchmade Grip/Mini-Grip - 6

Rat/ESEE Izula - 5

Would you prefer folder or fixed? If you went folder I think a spyderco would be great...if you went fixed I think either a swamp warden or an izula pack would make you a very popular person :)

He said it had to be a folder, I'd say a nice griptillian is a good give away.

Actually, I suppose there isn't a reason to really limit it to folders. I'll edit the original post accordingly.
 
Wow thats awesome Deebo! My vote goes for a Spyderco Manix 2. The saber ground 154 cm version!
 
sog field pup - it's a great little knife, that doesn't cost much, but IMO, one of the best ones

actually that's a GREAT IDEA - I'll do it myself
 
Oh also, if you guys make a suggestion, it'd be great if you guys included a link to a picture of the knife!

Hi Deebo -

I have a couple ideas for giveaways - but I'll post them when I am ready.

I think an Izula would be a GREAT giveaway, and a little cheaper for you to buy than the mini-grip, which is also a very nice knife (I have one and carry it).

Here is a picture of my Izula and mini-griptilian

Why do you think so highly of an Izula as a give away?
 
I like the earlier suggestions of the Manix 2 and Griptilian.

Another possibility that hasn't been mentioned yet is the Spyderco Native. It'd be a great addition to the EDC rotation of whoever gets it: lightweight, S30V blade, and superb ergonomics.
 
I would love the chance a Manix 2 and a mini grip would be another great choice...both plain edge please:D
