I'd like to have a little contest to mark my 4000th post - but with a twist. I have a new, in the blister-pak, Victorinox Swiss Army Classic SD knife with PINK scales that I'd like to send to someone's daughter whose birthday is closest to that of my own daughter. Without being sexist about it, I believe we need more ladies of all ages to accept knives as tools and this might help in a tiny way towards achieving that goal.
Here's how you play: if you have a daughter who you believe is old enough to act responsibly with a pocketknife, list her NAME (FIRST name ONLY!) and date of birth here. Whichever date is closest to my daughter's birthdate, wins the knife. I will then have it engraved with the first name and ship it, insured, to the father. In the event of a tie, the earliests posting wins.
I'll pick the winner Monday night at 6:00pm, Eastern Time. OK?
