Knife Handling Quirks?

I really try to keep my SAK blade for food only and not my main folding knife. I sometimes forget to wipe off the blade my Endura, Endela, etc and then cut food and then realize ... ya ... use the SAK buddy.

On a totally unrelated topic, I also carry TUMS everyday.

I clean my blades like a katana sword with edge up wiping from the spine at the bottom
I always strop on my pants after hard use
When opening a box instead of turning the box around I switch to reverse grip to open the other side (left or opposite in front)

I won't loan out a knife , I carry a simple square razor box cutter in my pocket I'll loan out

Also since I cut a lot of paper, thin plastic, foam with them .........they have to be as sharp as possible at all times, I have a sharpmaker and balsa strops loaded with diamond emulsions in my toolbox at work for quick touch ups

But oddly scratches etc and other signs of use don't bother me one bit

I had near ouch experience so very careful in lending knives

I use to carry a Benchmade onslaught which slices very well
I let one twit borrow it to cut polystyrene, but he held it between his legs and cut towards his femoral artery

Told him to give it back before he kills himself and did the cutting for him
