300, you've done an excellent job. I see very little risk in rehandling some of your Buck knives and surely you have enough of them that even if the results were not as good as with this Imperial, it's no great loss.

Not likely, it's probably a series of patent numbers. A quick search on "google patents", shows the first number is a patent for a means to attach a knife handle.
 
Right, those are patent #'s for the method of attaching the shell handles to the frame with fold over tabs. This was the 'invention' that enabled Imperial to sell decent quality knives for a price lower than other USA knife manufacturers, and thus dominate the "lower end" knife market in U.S.A. and Canada, and maybe elsewhere as well.

That knife brings back fond memories. They were still selling them in the 70s when I was growing up.
I can't tell you how many I went through.
