Good Evening folks,

I was wondering if I could trouble you for some help. I'm a short time lurker here, recently referred from the EDCforums. I just today received this knife from my dad. Thing is, other than it being a benchmade, he couldn't tell me anything else about it. Can any of you help me ID it? He's had it for almost 15 years.

I'm also curious about the quality, it's served dad pretty well. It seems like a great knife, my only complaint so far is, and I apologize for the terminology, the disc on top of the blade for unfolding it. Very uncomfortable, not at all like the pegs sticking out of the side blade.

That being said, is it worth trying to breathe new life into it? replace the scales and the clip maybe?

Folks, I'd be grateful for any help you can give me.

Thanks,
Brick.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong...
That looks like a 910 Stryker. If it is, then the steel is likely D2 steel. Should be a great knife and looks to be in really good condition for being 15 years old. Call/email benchmade and ask for a new pocket clip and they should send one to you. I wouldn't change anything about the knife. Behind each scratch is a story
