Knife ID Help

I picked up a knife at the local used-tool store, and in polishing it up(very rusty) I've uncovered enough marking to possibly identify it. The knife is 8.5" long, with a 4.25" blade, only .75" wide, but in a bowie style. The handle has Al birds-beak pommell and half guard, and is itself stacked leather. At the top and bottom, there is a pattern of red-black-red in the spacer material. The blade says 330 on one side, and there are no identifieable markings on the other side. Any help would be welcome.

I can't promise any results, but I'll check my books. Your description didn't ring any bells (not even a little tinkle).

The only knives which come close are the old Marbles and the Western States. Their markings don't match this one.

Chas may be the man, as Brian says. Too bad he doesn't post on BladeForums. He definitely has a wealth of knowledge.

Money : spend it before it is all gone.

In more cleaning, I found a possible makers name on the other side from the 330. It looks like(guesses are in brackets) H[a]..g, there are two letters which are indistinguishable.
