Forgive my crappy drawing but I'm trying to remember the name and make of a knife for on the early to mid 90's I guess you would call it a frame lock but to access the lock there was a cut out like a window in the presentation frame and it had typically black rubber or Zytel handle scales if memory serves ... possibly made by benchmade

Any help from on my crappy description appreciated

A few other importers brought them in too, under their own name, but United was the largest and longest importer. Other similar versions used a button or ball to work the liner -

United's high end version using a button, sold under the Rigid name -
