Knife ID

FFBM is like what was sold at the Company Store in 2008. I think they were ~$467.00 but they immediately appreciated ~$100 on the secondary market. I remember the HHFSH were selling for ~$750 a decade ago. Hardly ever see them now. If I had one I wouldn't part with it for less than ~$1,100. YMMV
I got HHFSH from a member here on condition that he has first right to buy it back, so if I sold it it would probably go to him. He's a standup guy I've bought 3 Busse from him.

I Like the way you think C being a huge fsh fan However “market value” wise your models should be swapped. I cant recall the last time Ive seen any coated standard fsh of any variation, snakeskin even for over a grand. The ffbm on the other hand, its arguably the king of the line and if you have patience can possibly fetch a grand which is undoubtedly on the high side for either model. The secondary market isnt as wild for the classics like they use to be, take this one for example. Wonder what this would of got bid up to 10 yrs ago. So pissed I missed it.

A show or ganza piece. If not a one off then not many like it. If one were to unlikely pop up in a ganza/show today i would expect busse to price it at $847/$897ish. If I were to somehow trade into one I would value it at atleast a grand. If sell on ebay over a grand would be reasonable (imo and assuming the smooth bolts/slabs are factory)
Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone know much about this CS piece? I believe it's a HHFSH.

Thanks much! Still looking for another like it. Such an awesome, stout, blade!

I saw that auction awhile back. I was surprised it went so low also but I was concerned with authenticity and wonder if others were too maybe which kept it lower.

You're probably right. I still wouldn't part with one for less than a grand. The Fat Flat Fusion Battle Mistresses are badass. Like I posted in my recent BM thread, it's the most impressive hunk of INFI that I own.

The original HHFSH (200 in standard scales, 200 in Magnum) were highly desirable on the aftermarket until two things happened. The Busse Bubble burst, and the Shop started putting out a variety of show special/Ganza Custom shop FSH in a range of thicknesses. But it is true that real HHFSH have been very scarce lately. One thought is that the originals were all bought by Old School Hogs, and many of those guys just don't hang here anymore and the blades are locked in collections. The Easton Show special is very cool, but I don't believe it was slightly more common. I got lucky and had a proxy buyer score one for me, then it went back to Garth for a DCBB treatment, including the scales.

I once remarked to my Martin guitar dealer in disbelief that someone could let a nice old d-28 languish under a bed untouched for 40 years. Well son, it ain't like it's a horse. They don't eat, so once you've bought them it don't cost anything to keep em.
