Knife Identification

Hey bladeforums,

A family friend of mine purchased a framed knife some time ago and intends to give/sell it to me. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the knife and how much I should pay for it.

Some more detailed shots would be great.
The handle reminds me of some Indo Persian knives. The blade however looks different.

I know the photo isn't great. Im picking it up tomorrow, Ill post some more photos when I get it home. The handle does look Indo Persian, hopefully the knife has some kind of identifying markings or something.
