I'm looking to find out more about a knife that my father gave me.

He said he bought it at a hunting store in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

When I look up info on the brand, it comes back to Cole National Corporation. Trademark files in 1976 and expired in 1983.

Khyber was one of the lines of knives that Cole put out. They bought Kabar around 1967, and as you indicated, started the Khyber line in 1976. Mostly produced Kabar-clone folders, but also had a few fixed blades. Some of the fixed blades were Kabar clones, but some, like this one, had non-Kabar profiles. The line didn't last long, dropping off the radar long before the trademark expired.

If you squint a little, this one looks like a cross between a nessmuk and a Buck 110

Is it indeed a Buck 110, you can't see the tag because the light is blinding it. (I'm not the greatest photographer)
