Knife in the road.

Found a Gerber multitool on an onramp to I-71, but that happy find lacks the romance of a Vietnam-era MKII. Congrats.

Great find! Take care of her, and she'll give you a lifetime of service.

I find tools all the time. I've repeated this story several times here, but the short version: back in '93, I found a run-over SAK Huntsman. Re-scaled it, carried it for 14+ years, and when I decide to retire it...I find another  SAK Huntsman, laying in the road.

thx - cpr

nice find,I was at the Lowes at 23 mile rd & Gratiot then the post office at 11:30 Sat. morning, then took Jefferson home. So you beat me to it.If you found it by Brandenburg Park, just north of the park on the west side is a group home for the mentally & phyically handicaped. If it was there you did a great job,so they didn't get ahold of it.There is a lot of military people in the area, because of Selfridge Air Base at Hall Rd. & Jefferson which is less then 3 miles from the park.We have a local paper that comes out on Weds, that has a lost & found section in it,if you want I can contact you if some one posts it as lost. Great find, hopefully you can hold onto it.

I found it just before Brandenburg Park coming from Cotton. Dead center of the road, so no telling which direction the person who lost it was heading. Usually there are folks walking the path. There was no one around then. You have probably seen me on my Bike. A very BIG guy on a yellow Sport Bike. I ride all over The Clem, Chesterfield and New Baltimore. I am hoping we still have the Wednesday night car shows in Mt. Clemens. I love riding down to hang out there. I get out to the pier at Brandenburg often as well. My Son is finishing up his contract with the Army as a Reservist at Selfridge. He said he would keep an ear open as to anyone who may tell a tale of losing a knife. Good to hear from a neighbor!:D

I found a PAL hunting knife in the middle of the road, 1974, on my way to work one morning. About 3 years or so ago, I sent it to our very own Scott Gossman who took the stacked leather slabs off, reglued them, reattached the pommel, ground the knife down to a sweet eveness and put one wicked edge on her! Boys, in my opinion shes one sweet a#* knife!
I've got pics of her stored in my attachments if somebody could help a poor ol hillbilly out and let me know how to retreive them.

That's a nice knife. Looks nearly identical to the Camillus that I purchased in the early 1970's in an army surplus store. I used it a LOT as an all around camp knife and it worked well. Still have it.

I've been pretty lucky finding things on roads, hiking trails etc. Found a Leatherman Charge Ti last year that had been run over on a gravel road that a lot of 4-wheelers use.

One of the main bars to the pliers was snapped, I called Leatherman and they had me send it in, and said it was covered under warranty. They sent a new one.

Congrats on a good find.

I found some really cool orange cones in the road the other day and I use them to hold my yard sprinklers. It's a good thing I got off the road when I did because there was a terrible wreck right there just minutes after I left. Lucky me!!

Found a little Case pen knife (with scissors) in a gas station parking lot, and a nice Estwing hatchet in the street...that's all so far...
Was surprised to find that the knife is about $50 and the hatchet $30 !
