Knife industry big 3

Cutlery & car industries do not compare because cars are a) heavily regulated and b) require an big support network (parts, service, aftermarket).

So just looking at the knife biz in and of itself, I think that Spyderco, Kershaw, and Benchmade definitely are the big three. Buck may have volume & certain other strengths, but remains slow-moving. I mean, how long did it take them before they finally started using S30V?
