Hey guys, I have a Red River knife here and I'm looking for some history on it. There's not too much on the web about it, but just as the knife says (laser engraved) on the blade, it was at one point in time a division of Cold Steel ..... and its made out of Carbon V. Its in pretty decent shape, and has different handles than any others I've seen on the web. Some hopefully one of you guys out there can shed some light on the knife for me. How it came to be, what was the purpose, and how come their not around anymore..... do I have something "Valuable" here? In my opinion with such a thin blade and medium length it would make a great bushcraft blade. Oh yea..... anyone wanna make a custom leather sheath for me :-) As of now she's naked :O

Ok, after looking it up on Google, it seems like your knife was 'refurbished" with paakawood handles, and filework.

Ahh, thank you..... I swear I looked this knife up on Google, somehow missed that Really obvious page.

I guess what I was hoping for was some first hand experience info about this blade. Its intriguing to me how thin it is, so makes me kinda nervous thinking about actually seeing how tough it is. I really like the looks of it and wouldn't be please if I broke her. I dunno, there's just something special about her....
