I never interject when an Outdoor shop " expert " is doing their sales spiel , but if I can talk to a fellow customer alone ( ie: if it appears to be someone receptive to advice and I actually give a schnit about helping them) I try to steer them in the right direction.
Not all salespeople regarding knives are as well educated on them as us knifenuts are , but when I hear them giving BS sales pitches about certain knives and such ,it does PMO.
The consumer should educate themselves , and therein lies the problem.
