I'm going to Amsterdam in Feb. and was wondering if anybody is familiar with their knife laws. I carry a small Sebenza every day in it's belt pouch to the office (to hell with the sheeple!) , but the thought of it getting confiscated by Dutch customs strikes terror in my heart! Anybody been through their customs with a knife? Or carried a knife in The Netherlands?

Hello!

Sorry to say i'm not sure 'bout the actual laws in Holland/Amsterdam, but i've seen auto's for sale in the open.
Carry your knife in your toiletbag when passing costums and carry it by the clip and not by the sheath, last time i'was in Amsterdam i carried my BM 975, didn't feel bad about it!
I was at a tatoo convention and a lot of people were carrying knives in pouches on their belt and i never saw anyone hassled by the police, quite a few of these people were members of Hell's Angels and was several times checked by the police for whatever reason and, again no-one i sawed was forced/told to remove their knives from their belt.

If you do get to Sweden...no knives, there's even a suggestion that it should be illegal to have a knife(anyknife)in the driver/passenger compartment!!!
Stupid??? in my opinion, YES, very stupid!

Hope you'll have a good stay in Amsterdam!
Be well!/Jonas aka 2Sharp
