joe-bob, there are many who have tried to argue this point, but it has not been successful. AT this point it has become the understood definition of the term "gravity knife" and there is no sitting judge that will overturn it now as that would cause a ripple effect on other cases. Knives are not liked in NYC as it is not a sportsman paradise there, and they are all looked on as weapons. I have suggested before and will say it again, PLEASE spend a day off in your local CRIMINAL COURT system before you voice an opinion on these matters. The written law and how it is played out in court are often worlds apart from eachother. When it comes to weapons, the courts all over tend to be against the defendant. LEOs are rarely contracdicted in court, and their word is taken as Gospels over the defendants. WAKE UP !!! I don't mean this to be disrespectful, but if you know how things really work then you would not offer some of the statements you make....thanks
