Knife laws in Melborne Aust. (Grampians Mountiains)

My bro is going to the Grampians mountains for some climbing in Aust, any knife laws that he needs to be aware of? I am going to reccomend to him a leatherman tool, or mabye something simular.

In summary knives that could be a problem are: balisongs, double edged blades, autos, push knives & gravity knives.

A multitool would be fine and I think a lot of local climbers use Spyderco as they sell them in most climbing/outdoor stores in Sydney. A multitool could be a little heavy and hard to access compared to a Spyderco
