I've been around a long time but there are some things I still don't understand. Maybe someone can help me on this one. What does IWB carry and IWB sheath mean? It's obviously some kind of knife carry style. Tell me. Thanks.

Too many abbreviations for my taste but you just can;t get away from it. How about if I said "TMAFMTBYJCGAFI" now, HWTB?

I just said "Too many abbreviations for my taste but you just can;t get away from it" and "Now how would that be?"

However, I guess when we abbreviate so much, we do manage to save a few nanoseconds and, over a life-span, probably add about 93 seconds of useable time to our lives.

Another abbreviation often used with IWB is SOB -- small of the back. This would be a particularly stealthy carry.

Maybe those of use who use abbreviations should have a key in our signature. :) Like:

EDC - Every day carry / IWB - In waistband / IMO - In my opinion / SAK - Swiss Army Knife / PE - Plain Edge / CE - Combo Edge / SS - Stainless Steel

etc. :)

Now THAT's a good idea. With that in my signature line, I wouldn;t feel bad at all using acronyms.

TEOTWAWKI due to abbreviations. Also, DILIGAF? JK!

(The end of the world as we know it due to abbreviations. Also do I look like I give a f-? Just kidding!)

I do so hate many of the lesser known abbreviations.

Nah, SOB's are sulfide oxidising bacteria, everybody knows that. I always have that stupid grin on my face reading my company's process descriptions.

Great! ...Now how about deciphering all those Busse knife abbreviations like "I just got a new NFBLMNOPQ Battle Mistress" :D

And here I thought I was the only one that thought that was weird.

I love watching youtube vids of Busse reviews where even the reviewer has problems deciphering the names. Even more hilarious is when they try to pronounce the acronym. Nefbelmenopkeh?
