  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Recommendation? Knife Lubricant

I like mineral oil too, but only on my fixed blades. Mineral oil is super thick stuff in a folder and will run and never dry out, which will pick up tons of gunk. YMMV.
You can apply oil with a q tip or brush in the area needed. Or use a needle applicator. Or use a thinner mineral oil based lube... Ie boker lube, blue lube etc. I honestly don't think it's too thick at all.

I understand there’s controversy because of the claims of the maker of nano oil, but do you have any actual information proving that it’s just mineral oil? I’d be interested in reading it.
I don't have the link handy, but there should be. This company parted ways with diamond lube, another snake oil company. Alot of the posts have been scrubbed from older forums or they have been recently shut down. But there was alot of information about how shady these companies are and there false advertising.

I keep it simple, 3 in 1 for slip joints and Rem Oil for modern knives.
I don't worry about oil being food safe because there's no telling where the knife has been. If I need to use it around food I'll wash it first.
