Internet Knife Purchases Led To Zantop Suspects
Teens Allegedly Purchased Commando-Style Knives Before Murders
BOSTON, 10:29 a.m. EST February 19, 2001 -- The purchase of two,
commando-style knives over the Internet was what led investigators
to two teenage suspects in the brutal killings of popular Dartmouth
professors Half and Susanne Zantop.
According to WCVB-TV in Boston, investigators reportedly focused on
Robert Tulloch, 17, and James Parker, 16, because the teens
allegedly bought two unique, special forces commando-style knives
over the Internet, according to Vermont County Sheriff Dennis
McClure. The knives cost about $300.
Investigators checked with the manufacturers, who gave them a list
of customers who had recently purchased the knives and allegedly
Tulloch and Parker's names were on the list.

Someone find out who the dealer/manufacturer is and let's boycott them out of business! This is BS!

Is this going to be posted in every forum at BFC?
I've seen it in General, Practical Tactical and now here.

And this is a problem why?? The investigators are doing their job trying to link those punks to the crime.
Brigadier, the police can just as easily get a court order forceing the dealer to provide those records. Being upset with the dealer isn't going to solve anything.

I fail to see the logic of your request. The investigators were tracing one type of knife used in the commision of a double homicide. They were not seeking a list of every person the dealer had sold knives to as the BATF would like for firearms purchases. I would ask you to rethink your logic and comments. I think your fear of the government has allowed your judgement to be clouded. Dick.
