I was looking for any makers in NJ that offer classes in knife making.

We can prolly gather in me garage :) - I am in Rutheford NJ, miles
from Giants Stadium/Manhattan.

I can show basic stock-removal technology, including HT, bunch of home-made tools etc. Should be fun

Knife-making is just a hobby for me, BTW :)
 
Chris petterson is in N.J. somewhere i have talked to him a few times and have one of his knives he might be worth looking for.
 
I am in Warren about 30 min from the meadowlands. I would appreciate any new info on proper knife making.Thank's,

I have a fully equipped knife making shop in Bergen County. Although this art form is still only a hobby , its going quite well. I would be interested in meeting other Local Knife makers. You are welcome to visit. It would be nice, take a shop tour , share ideas , techniques , equipment , suppliers, methods. Ive learned a lot by trial and error in the last 3 years and would be happy to share what I've learned and of course learn from others. Feel free to call me ,

Digging up the oldies !! When I got Shawn Knowles knife he had a few more years to perfect his work. :thumbsup: If he's still in NJ he'd be a good teacher. I think he's on Facebook now.

On the 16th of September we are having a BBQ. You are all invited. I would love to meet all the Jersey Knife Makers so come on by. We will be doing a few demo's and eating a lot of MEAT. The address is 289 Wagaraw Road, Hawthorne, NJ. If you are traveling east on Route 80 to get here DO NOT take exit 57 or you will have to go through the HOOD in Paterson. TAKE EXIT 60!
