Knife Makers - Please show your favorite knife you've made with a fancy wood handle.

This one has cocobolo and walnut burl.

My favorite, desert ironwood.

By gosh there are some fine knives in this thread!

Mark - Thank You!!

Here's another of my favorite woods:
The handles on the knife, fire steel, and striker are Red Maple burl, as is the inlay in the "Waterfall" Bubinga sheath.

Nice thread. Y'all are talented.

I made this one with some redwood burl that was cut in the 40's. (And yes I did get it from Burl Source.) It has been donated to be raffled off at next years Arkansas Custom Knife Show.

Thank You everyone who has posted photos so far. Those are some great looking knives. Hopefully we will see some more. I have to be careful I don't spend too much time looking at the photos and get some work done. I don't know about you guys, but I am really enjoying this thread.
Thanks again, Mark

Here is the only wood handled I've made this year- Stabilized Bloodwood- I was surprised at the warmth and depth of the chatoyance within.

Only a year old is this one, the best picture I've ever taken (curly maple and green g10):

I'm nowhere near the levels of many here, but I was especially proud of how the curly maple one turned out, and the Bloodwood was given at a wedding this weekend.
It is funny as I love wood handles, but own few and make few as well- that will have to change in the future!

Perhaps my all time favorite knife - made over a sleepless long weekend with Dan Farr and Matt Gregory:

Roger

Was that only one weekend? It kind of felt like an eternity... ;) How the heck we knocked that out over 72 hours I will NEVER understand. We should try it again - I wonder if it'd be any easier now?

Not my knife, but for my nickel, this one by Dan Farr's got to be considered:

Wow, you've got a lot going on in this piece - nice work!

Thank you Matt!
I love the look of the Tamboti wood on that second knife. It looks like there's some subtle figure in there. Handsome wood..... handsome knife!

That marbled ironwood looks great. But... the way you shaped and finished the handle anything would have looked good. Beautiful knife!
