Knife making without a shop

Here's there website (english)
http://www.messer-macher-messe.de/en/homepage.html
It's helt at a large knife museum. Solingen is to Germany what Sheffield is to England.
For suplies google:
Wolf Borger
Jurgen Schanz
Stefan Steigerwald
Or many more.

If you decide to make a knife you could make yourself a legal to carry <12cm single edge blade.
Jurgen Schanz sells SB1 wich is also known as Niolox. It is a high tech stainless powder steel with niobium. It takes a fine edge.
Many custom knifemakers use it around here.
RWL34 is also widely available and makes a fine knife. I've read that it has an other name in the US but I forgot wich one.
Basicaly it is the powder steel version of ATS34.
RWL34 is easier to work with then Niolox.

UHU is a good epoxy available at DIW shops (hellweg)
And you'r in metric country now so pin staff, drill bits etc are metric.
