OK Chuck started a thread in the Bali-Song forum and I will move part of it here. We will have a knife naming contest for the new Microtech Bali-Song that I will be distributing.

The winner will get one of the first production pieces!

I believe Monarch has been used by BM and Dragonfly by Spyderco for names.
We could always go with viceroy. Since a Monarch is a beautiful butterfly and might be loosely associated with Benchmade, and the viceroy...

Guess I shouldn't say that. MT puts out a fine knife, I'm just not a big fan.

How about Dark-song,Black-song since the first run will be black.
Another idea is devil-song or demon-song, since the filipinos believe that there is a devil in every blade. Just my 2 cents worth.

I think "Pariah" would make a suitable name for a bali from Microtech. Translatable to mean one that is outcast or set aside from one's peers, this name would distinguish MT's bali from market competition. Besides, Pariah has a strong sound to it and would be easily memorable.

(Micro-Tech-TAL)

MT. Tal (well actually its a volcano) is where all (well the best) balisongs are made in the Philippines (well they are on the road from Tal to Batangas). It's an appropriate name as Tal is very deseptive. Its lush and green, yet has no natural potable water (it all has to be pumped up). Its very cool and comfortable during the day (unlike the rest of area) and while it is picture-esq and beautiful, its also one of the most deadly volcano's in the world. It has a special feature, sulfuric mud - just imagine what that does when the thing blows off a little steam.
