How about the:

Microtech Mike Turber balisong?

the MT MT

does kissing up not get any points? or is this joke too old already. ok ok, i know...bad joke.

I'll try to think of something better later. Right now, sitting at work, I am largely uncreative.

I did think the MT Blackwatch would be nice....hahahahaha.

I did like someones idea of the Arc, in reference it seems to the way the knife moves.

How about the MT Radius? Each piece does indeed form the radius of a twisted circle which it creates. I like this one....*edit*Ok, just was reading again and realized someone had chosen this. I still like it, even though it ain't my idea.*/edit*

If I seem crazy, well, its because I just may be.

How about the Spiritus? It's Latin for "life" so Mikie must like it!

Also, as James K. Mattis wrote, knives are "good tools to sustain life, or at least make life more convenient."

Since Microtech has a knife called the Halo, why not keep the name within the same theme.
How about calling it:
The Microtech Archangel

After all, angels have wings as do butterflies.

How about:
TWISTER

SPINNER

M.T.B. (MicroTechBalisong)

BLITZ

How about:

The MT Wallet.... after all that's what I'm going to have when this baby is released!
wink.gif

I know the great and powerful VG already kind of suggested this one already, but the MT Vampire would be kind of neat, as if its partly opened it would form a kind of "V" shape, and turned upside down it would look vaguely like vampire teeth. Plus of course, as all of you who've manipulated a bali know, these things are always after your blood!
wink.gif

Also the MT MT which was suggested is kind of neat, it could of course be shortened to MT2 (MT squared thats supposed to be), relating not only to Mike's name, but also to the fact it has 2 handles, and with interchangable blades its kind of more than one knife.

How about the " MT SLINGBLADE " ? I like it at least.

Here it is:

Bali-hoo -- var. of "ballyhoo" meaning commotion or uproar - just what this baby will cause

No sooner had I posted that, than I thought of some more:

MT Dervish - because of all the "whirling" you'd do with it.

MT Duet

MT Double-Strike

MT TWIstar

MT TWINstar

MT Terminator

MT Crash 'n Slash - Crashes into your knuckles, then slashes your finger in my experience!
wink.gif

I think that'll do for now.

Probably missed the winner (Bali-Tech is so obvious), but I'll try.

MT Batangas

Keep in mind that while every bit an American company, Microtech does have a touch of Italian flare. So, in the line of a dance, how about

The Microtech Tarantella

Tar an tel la -- a swift, whirling Italian dance in 6/8 time.

Or, we could give credit to the Spanish history of the balisong with

The Microtech Fandango!

I like Fandango a lot! If you haven't noticed, balisongs suffer from a bit of a public relations/image problem. It's commonly seen as a weapon of gang members, evil villians, and criminals. Some of the names proposed here, while certainly creative, seem to contribute to that troublesome image.

Microtech has not shied away from and "edgey" (pun intended) image and names. They brought uas the Nemesis. They're new logo is an agressive claw. But, I hope they might consider a different direction for this knife.

The fact is that I have found not a single case of a murder with a bailsong in the US and only a handful of crimes with balisongs at all. The image might be of a weapon of thugs and criminals, but the reality is of a fun and useful tool.

Fandango is great. It's not's a combative weapon. It's not violent or evil at all. It's fun. It's energetic. It has movement. It's colorful. It's exotic. It's festive.

It's a fun, fast, festive dance!

And yet the word "Fandango" preserves a sense of mystery, an aire of the exotic, intrique, even a touch of risque'. Perfect!

There you have it: The Microtech Fandango!

MT Tricerotops - Three horns

MT Aphroditie - Goddess of love

Personally I'd stay away from anything with Bali, or Song in it so you wouldn't have to argue with BM over it.

PolyLamnia - Many Knife Blades
Perfectus - Latin for Perfect

How about:

MT Raven
MT Whirlwind
MT Rapido
MT Ghibli
MT Baguio. (A tropical cyclone in the Philippines)
