Thanks!

The blade is quite special, at least for me. It´s etched after vibration to start a nice patina effect, that according to the knifemaker, gets nicer during use.
This is what the maker Jacob Nylund describe the blades:

"
They are made in carbonsteel with a dash of vanadium to refine the grain and make the steel tougher.
The blades have been hollowground to zero and then I've removed the burr by creating a microbevel with my 3000grit stone and then they are honed. This makes for a very sharp edge that wont chip to easy. The finish on blades are a new, at least to me. The blades have been vibrated and then ethched to get a patina started. This makes for a beatiful and durable finish that only will get more beautiful the more it get used. The bevels have a polished 320 grit finish.

"

The wood is not stabilized, the masurpiece in the center of the handle comes from a masurbirch from Finland, the flamebirch piece is from Sweden. Finished of with 1200 grit sanding and some buffed wax, carnuba and finally renaissance wax.

Cheers,
Karl-Erik
