Knife nuts anonymous

I'm positive I'm not the only one who keeps a browser tab open to the USPS tracking page for knives I have in the mail and obsessively refreshes it throughout the day. :D

I keep the usps email open all the time and check the link periodically throughout the day on my phone
 
My last 3 knives in a row have been my "This will finish my knife collection" knife...

There is no way to "finish" your collection unless you have every knife ever made. I'm talking every Benchmade, Spyderco, Fallkniven, Cold Steel, CRKT, etc

We are all tracking maniacs!!
I'm going insane right now.....Benchmade Sub Rosa was supposed to be here Monday and tracking has not updated at all.......OH THE MISERY!!!!
I'm flipping out like I don't have 50 or so other knives!

And I have much respect for the KNUT who compares knives to the wife's shoes!! I did that once......and woke up in the hospital 2 days later!!

I just got the tracking number for my custom Benchmade Griptillian. In my defense, the blade is M4 steel with a black coating and the whole knife's blacked out
 
I'm there too, I know when nobody understands the beauty of knives, I have been putting aside some money so I can get a Rockstead without my wife knowing
 
I could spend the time and look for my previous posts regarding this insidious addiction, but I won't. Suffice it to say that our malady is worse than any alcohol addiction to come down the pike. It will consume you if you allow it to become dominant in your life!

I know one bloke who ordered a WTF satin and lost his appartment rental money in the process. I suppose he could just sleep in the car instead and shower up at the local gym.
 
I'm trying to drag my wife in the ring with me. Her first pink Spyderco Lady Bug arrived today. She doesn't think it's coming until tomorrow. She gets off of work at 7:00 to come home to her surprise first knife package opening.

I am odly jealous of her. Not the pink part, but the joy of opening your first knife

Oh MAN, if I had a knife for every time I said that to myself (and believed it), I'd have finished my knife collection ...

The problem is the Forum. There's a few I want and could live without, but if I'm scanning through the trades or sale section and find something cheap ... I guess self-control isn't exactly one of my strong points. If I can stay off the Forum and not look, I do good. The fact that I'm replying to this post right now tells you how successful I am.

For the past 5-6 years I've been so hooked that I started buying tools and materials and making my own.

I knew I was in trouble when someone asked me about my wife and I replied, "Ohh she's a custom.... hard edge on her, real easy to flip, doesn't need much lube, feels super in the hand..." then I realized I was talking about my RJ Martin Modulator!!!
