im not sure if i am posting this in the correct place, but how would i go about painting my kershaw leek? i want to make the whole thing black. i would take apart the knife and use tape to cover all the parts i do not want painted, such as the pivot area. what paint should i use to get a smooth metal feel to the knife? i dont want to have a sticky knife, such as if i use bad spray paint on it. is there a specific type of paint/spray paint that wont leave a residue that will make it sticky?

Are you dade set on painting a knife? If you are check out some of the spray on firearms gun finishes that are available. Take a look at the Brownell's web site. They have several types of firearms finishes that you can use. None of them are an over night fix if done correctly.

^^ what he said, or buy a all black Leek. Nothing you will buy can come close to the DLC on the kershaws
