Knife penetration

Hi,

I need recommendation on Busse with good penetration capabilities - and I'm talking about body armor (type 2 and less). And no, I'm not planning to rush into the street and start stabbing people
The infi vs Kevlar.

Any ideas?
Thanks

From my experience, think, short, tanto edge blade will do the trick.

I tend to shy away from such recommendations. Have you tried searching this forum?

Anything with a sharp point. The narrower the blade and point (dual edged or clip point?) will be easier...

Kevlar ,in my limited tests, does a very poor job of stopping a 'stab' (point straight in) although it can be quite 'cut' resistant.

I saw a picture on the web a couple of weeks ago showing a Nuclear Ice Pick punched through 5 or 6 quarters. Wish I could remember now what site it was on or had saved a copy. It was pretty cool.

EDIT: Found a pic, looks to be 4 quarters. I think that is a Nuclear Ice Pick, the thread it is in states it's a Skeleton Key but I don't think that's right.

Oooo a game for the GTG!

A straight clip bowie would be my choice, but you will have to send in your knife of choice to the custom shop for the modification. I once saw a Boss Jack with this kind of tip, absolutely wicked!

The canonical answer is the PT5.

It was built with that use in mind. The Force One would be a good alternate.

Methinks it is a Purebred fighter. You want pointy. You want penetration. You WANT a PBF.
(unless I'm wrong,...that might a skeleton key or something else, but it is NOT a NIP)

I wasn't sure. The width of the blade seems too broad to be a skeleton key to me. But what ever it is, it's pretty stout.

You know... the Daggers should be able to out penetrate them all.
Or the Gladius.
If you just want a small cheapie, the diggity dog should work also.
The leaner or the meaner street also are very pointy too.
And the scrofa.
OH>.... can't forget about the War Boar either. I'd bet that would some pretty massive penetration too.

That is my picture :)

It is a skeleton key, in fact it used to be a urban Skeleton Key :)

Went through them like budda

Maybe I will take an Argon and stab a silver dollar tomorrow :)

Hi

The war boar won't do, the gladius is too big.
Daggers - yes, they can do the job, but I think a spearhead tanto tip would do it better.

....I was just trying to figure out if that was the SK I got from you..... it has a habit of being stabbed into things....

Andy, be careful with this one! Looks like it has gone to put a hole in US economy... We don't want that happening here... ;)

Now that is funny

With a thread like this I am really hoping the Custom Shop has some Skeleton Key blanks! Even I need one now to start testing it out. I think we had a Skeleton Key grab bag at blade this year if I remember right. I'm hoping all the blanks didn't get used up then.
