HRC right around 58 if I remember correctly? To be honest, I have only had it for about 2 weeks and its a little large for me to EDC. Very light use so far. I have heard it holds a decent edge, the H1 has been known to work harden when sharpened, so the edge retention should just get better with time :)

It was made by an amateur maker from Scotland, called Shuggs. His slipjoints are a delight. Unfortunately he's not been making for a while due to personal issues, but they pop up on the british blades classifieds from time to time.
He's a lovely bloke, and put a lot of himself into his knives.
