Hey guys,
i've gotten a lot of questions about some of my knives, i thought i'd try and answer in bulk on here. it was pouring rain all mornin but i got out for some woodsbumming anyways and packed the knives along with me. set up shop under a downed tree by the river and tried my best to snap some shots. i set up under a garbage bag, and sat on one too (didn't cut them they'll be used for gardage another day haha.)
the pack is a snugpak sleeka force 35. it's my favorite pack and has a built in water proof covering you can see in the pic. don't think i need to explain anything about the fiskars and sak farmer haha along with a tiablo a1 light.
1-TK bushcrafters, scandi grind. white corian handles with red spacers. one neck sheath one belt carry. both 01 tool steel. good patina of'em too. they're thick for me at 4mm so i'll be moving these on hopefully to someone that'll use'em.
2-MMHW "mini skinners" great utility blade, under-rated knives and knife shape in my opinion. natural micarta, 5160 spring steel i believe. bought a second one that's still mint waiting for its turn.
3-crumps forge neckers. stainless steel 15n20 maybe? i've forgotten Crump floats around here as "steelshaper" i believe maybe he can shed some light. glow in the dark handles similar to G10 but grippier.
4-Bruce Culberson- 01 steel, perfect workmanship, before i even recieved the knife i was in discussions with bruce about a new project we're both excited about. love his aesthetic. it'll be patina'ed and beaten soon enough. best knife i own as far as i'm concerned, and for my uses.
5-Walter Davis-i think 1080somethin' can't remember, nice lookin' hamon, micarta handles, great sized handles this thing takes a beating all day long. love this beast. the only chopper i've ever needed.
6-Jack Walden- of Del City Oaklahoma.440c and the sharpest knife i've owned. really beautiful knife. scary sharp. great ergos for me.
when i get moved in i'll get the good camera out and get some miles under me and some photos for you guys of the area. found a great new wild leek patch on my hike today. it's nice to get out in the wet and rain i find.
hope this all answers some questions.
