Knife Psychology... Are you being "profiled"?

Shhhhhh! Just got number 163!! The December Buck of the Month rocks - bareheaded 500 Duke in S30V, couldn't resist 😁
You and me both, Joe, though you're quite a bit further along than me. Yep, for sure. Shhhhh! Don't tell mine either. It's only my second order from Buck this month and I'm not counting the other orders. It's too scary! 🤣

My wife and I have been married for 63 years . In the first 40 years I bought 2 knives and still have them . I now have about 150 knives . That averages out to 2.38 knives per year . Tell your wife what your yearly average is and see if that blows her educated mind . Or maybe you should not do that . I don't know how long you have been married .

I'm over a third of that in less than three years. I think my average isn't so good. It might depend on how you look at it. I think I'll just keep quiet about that part. She might start projecting how many of her dream trips are coming up. Of course, we just got back from Maldives. The trip is over, but I still have my knives. 🤣

Always remember That.....

Two really cool members asked for an update. The porch is a great place to laugh and share an unusual, but fun, hobby! So 17 days later....

The psychiatrist wife has yet to present a convincing argument that proves my 'more than casual interest' in cutlery is destructive, demeaning, or damaging to the family. In fact, under oath ;), she as much admitted that hobbies like this have beneficial effects by reducing stress levels and warding off boredom and depression!

Since the original post, I "only" purchased 5 more knives over the last 17 days! One Buck 500 BOTM, a Case Swayback, and three GECs, including my first GEC fixed blade the H40. Also, glad to report that Wharncliffe (our Lab) is as happy as ever! Note his keen interest as he listens to both sides of the debate...
