Knife Question

Spyderco Tenacious is a great knife at any price, and amazing at only $30. I guess I'm a bit late, so enjoy your Vex. You may find some online knife stores are willing to take alternate payment such as USPS Money Order even if they do not advertise as such on their site.

Yes that is actually how I paid, by USPS money order.
I was going to go with the Sypderco native. But I have no Walmarts around me and the black version which is what I wanted would have been like $55-60 and I didnt want to pay that. So I ordered the Vex (drop point, I decided against the tanto), I didnt get the knife yet obviously so I cant really comment, but I think I will be happy with my choice, it seems like a very nice quality knife.

I'd get a Kershaw or Spyderco in that price range, you will get the most bang for your buck.
The Kershaw Vapor, JYD, or storm are a good start.

i think you should make your own. have fun. the budget you have to buy is more than enough to buy 4 files and sandpaper, and a scrap of car suspension steel. Borrow the sharpening stone from a buddy after you have heat tempered it over a coal fire.

sure, it will take long but you will really have the time to decide how it's gonna look and you will likely make 2 or 3 with the chunk of steel you will buy.
