Knife questions

I'm looking to get another traditional US made folder. I have decided I don't really want to spend $100 for a knife right this minute. I am looking in the $30-40 range. Suggestions?

Are you refering to the 301 or the 110? I haven't seen any for $30 - $40 in a while.

For a bit less than the going price on the 110 Chairman you can get a GEC #21 Bullbuster.

I have found all of the Buck 30X series (301, 303, 305, 309) to be well made working knives. They are not fancy, but all of mine are well built with good fit and finish. Like many others, I like the way Buck does 420HC. I also like the grinds. Very easy to maintain.

Easy to maintain sounds good to me

Not sure if you want a slip joints or locking blade, or what size you prefer.

Buck Prince or duke gives you a nice traditional lock back over 3"
Knight or the 55, gives you a smaller lock back under 3"

Being you're looking at the cadet, consider the stockman as well, you get a bit more knife... Case also has a few nice USA made stockman's as well in that price range.

I am looking for a slip joint, something with a closed length of three and a half inches. Or something close to that
