Ah, but I think you misquoted :p

should be. . ."now that's a knife" ;)

LOL. What was that big ol knife Crocodile Dundee used anyway? It was a nice one.

A new Strider owner asked why his knife didn't come with instructions......Mick's response was,......“Stab, twist, repeat as necessary.”

One of these days
I'm going to cut you into little pieces

It was made out of aluminum and wasnt a functional knife. :(

You mean it wouldn't hold up well, because aluminum can be very sharp. Ask anone who has cut themselves on shavings after a drilling operation. ;)

That's right, the bible one is the best.....in the Garden, Jesus is praying when the Pharasee's men come to detain him. One of his disciples accesses a short sword and cuts off the ear of one of the Pharasee's men. He is admonished by Jesus:

"He who lives by the sword will die by the sword."

But notice that Jesus never told him to throw away his blade, just to put it down, or sheath it......Jesus was OK with the RKBA, and I am an atheist talking.

From The Mask of Zorro
Don Diego de la Vega: Do you know how to use that thing?
Alejandro Murrieta: Yes! The pointy end goes into the other man.

Not movie quotes, but ones I like anyway.

The hoplites had a nice one:
My wealth is spear and sword and the stout shield which protects my flesh. With this I sow, with this I reap, with this I tread the sweet wine from the grape, with this I am entitled Master of Slaves. For those not daring to bear spear and sword and stout shield to protect them, they bend their knee in fear and do me reverence, addressing me as Lord and Great King!!
Or this one from James Mattis, when asked why he carried a knife:
My good reason to carry a knife is that God gave me rather weak teeth and rudimentary claws in an evolutionary trade-off. The hairy armed person who figured out how to put an edge on a suitable rock made it possible for us to be recognizably human in the first place. I wear a wrist watch whether or not I have an appointment to keep, and I carry a pen and/or pencil because I am a literate person, whether or not I have a specific writing task ahead of me, and I carry a knife because I am a human and not an ape.

A knife comes in handy for all sorts of random tasks that involve seperating matter; like cutting a string, or making a sandwich, or opening a package. It can also come in handy in an emergency. which need not involve a human assailant, and emergencies are, by their nature, unforseen. So one should carry a knife at all times. And in a perfect world where nobody needed a weapon, I'd probably carry a slightly larger knife because it wouldn't scare people.
I sometimes wonder what his bad reason was.

Dave
