I took my little brothers cheap $10 frost cutlery folder apart so I could sharpen it. The only problem is when I went to put it back together I can not get the blade to lock into the detent. There are only two washers and two hex screws. They are all in there proper place but the knife will just not go back together properly. Help.

Why on earth would you take a knife apart to sharpen it?
Sounds like you'd better buy your brother a new knife!

I paid a $1 for my frost cutlery knife back in '04. Inflation at work I suppose

You could buy him a new knife they're not very expensive or you could just tell him it was like that when he gave it to you. Sorry, I can't be of more help.

I took the knife apart because I sharpened it on a lansky system and having the entire knife in the clamp sucks and is a big pain in the butt.
