Hey, I've been looking around with no luck so I want your guys recomendations. I'm looking for a tactical folder for around $70 and I'll go up to $100. I don't care about the brand but preferably under 5oz. Thanks :D

Cold Steel AK 47. It's assisted, a big blade, thick, and has a beefy grip. It is just over your 5 oz mark though.

Any other preferences? Like blade shape, steel, colors, how beefy it is?
For just under $100 you can get the Daghetta from Lion Steel. Very beautiful knife, 3.25" spear point blade, under 4 OZ, and carbon fiber!

Spyderco Manix 2

When you say tactical what do you mean? Are you just looking for a heavy duty folder? Is there a blade length you prefer? What will be your main use? These will all help with suggestions.

Well when I say tactical I mean I'll use it for a lot of every day tasks but it's also big enough for self defense purposes

the kershaw blur comes in at 4 ounces, can have a S30V steel blade, is very slim, carries nicely, holds an edge very well with the S30V blade, and is about 3.5 inches. all this for about 90 bucks. this would definitely be my pick.

Cold steel ak 47, recon 1 or America lawman for heavy use. Spyderco stretch or manix 2 for all around amazing knives.

There are quality, American made knives that fall in that category from great companies like Buck, Kershaw, and Spyderco. It's hard to say what YOU would like, but any quality knife would suffice. Go somewhere where you can hold different knives, preferrably somewhere with good knives. Gun shops sometimes have a few decent knives, and are easier to find than Knife shops nowadays. Big 5 usually doesn't have great folders from what I've seen, stay away from anything labeled Smith and Wesson, Hummer, basically anything named after a car or gun brand and made in china/taiwan :P (yes, there are exceptions, but I don't want to overload this guy with info)
