Knife Recommendations - 8" Wilderness

Absolutley, same as my truck, my guns, my dog, and my underwear.

Where do you find american made underwear?

Hey, I know that everyone else was wondering too!

Back to topic... Becker BK9 is hard to beat, IMO. Honestly, for under $100, you'd be EXTREMELY hard pressed to get a better knife that size.

Ontario makes good stuff for $100 or less as well. Lots of choices from them.

Since you're talking about getting a Busse, I'd check out the custom makers too. Mineral Mountain Hatchet Works has a bunch of extremely sweet blades for $200-$400.

My vote goes towards a Becker BK9. 9 inches is pretty big for camp/bush work unless that work includes cutting down trees and chopping dragons in half. The BK7 is plenty big enough and can still be used to chop wood if you baton it. The 2 inches more on the BK9 makes it difficult to do more mundane jobs that require a bit more delicacy (you could always carry a folder or smaller fixed if you are set on a 9 inch knife). Kabar Becker BK7. Tighten down the nuts (and make new scales for it if you are picky like me) and go nuts.

swamp rat knives, scrapyard knives are also ones to check out since you mentioned busse

Check out the ESEE lineup. All American made, and one of the best warranties out there. You are bound to find one you like.
