I too was looking for info and a good photo of this knife a while back for the same reason.
I could find nothing on the net (did find the knife used in Legends of the Fall by Mr. Pitt...).
I was told by one person that the knife was made in Australia and there is small book about knives published in Australia, and not available anywhere else, that featured an article about the knife and the maker. I guess few copies were ever printed and I could find nothing on what the title was or anything else.
I finally settled on blowing up photos from movie stills and posters, and redrawing it a few times, but the customer changed his mind.
If you had access to a DVD of any of the movies, you might be able to capture a good still on your computer (if it had a DVD drive). I have heard it is possible, but have never done it myself.
AG Russell featured a knife in his catalog back in the mid-90s called the Crocodile Hunter that was very similar, but had a narrower blade. I have a copy of the add on file, but don't have access to a digital camera or scanner right now.
Wish you luck and let me know if you do dredge anything up, just incase anyone every comes asking again.
