While out hiking and photographing knives for reviews I often end up with all these extra pictures that have a lot of character but don't exactly fit in the knife reviews. Jeff Randall said that he takes pictures of all sorts of things and files them away in case he ever needs them for a project. I have been doing the same with all the hikes I do for the past few months while out backpacking, day hiking or even walking down the street. There are some interesting things that happen while out picture taking and knife testing that I can't capture but here are some views of nature, knives and extra crap.

This is one of the many places I go for knife pictures. There is a stream and some remote areas with all sorts of critters.

Big Bear, CA-Testing and getting used to the Tramontina 18" before a big trip to the Amazon. After a weekend of using the wood handle Tram I got my hand in shape for the hours of use in Peru

Nice pictures - I think I need one of those trams.

That creek has seen a touch of phosphorus, I'd say!

Great pics as usual BTD.

Great pics man. I saw those same type of spikey things while hiking Topanga state park, not sure what they are.

Awesome pics bear! Look like you have a good amount of experience in the bush. Thanks for sharing!

I was wondering about those green things too. I saw them growing on a vine when I was hiking cedar creek in San Diego.
