Knife safes?

@Chief in the case of your nuke bunker and half ton safe, we'll pass :D There is of course tunnelling & burrowing.....

Not that you don't have rich pickings there mind ;)

My knives are stored in rubbermaid/sterite plastic tubs, locked in the workshop, which is behind the locked gates of the backyard of a house in the country that is under 24 hour video surveillance.

The high dollar knives, such as my Western W31 Parachutist and such, are stored in the same workshop in the old business safe that my parents used in their business for 40 years and was used by my grandmother before that.

The guns not in a ready to use condition are locked in the gun safe bolted to the concrete floor.

Also, with respect to armoires or wardrobes, they came into common usage back when houses were built WITHOUT closets for the storage of clothes.

Back in the day, houses were built WITHOUT closets deliberately because houses were also taxed based on the number of DOORS a house had. No closets == no closet doors == lower taxes.

My knives reside with my guns...in a heavy fire rated safe.

I usually have about 10 out for fondling, sharpening, etc.

When I'm out, the knives I'm not carrying get put away.
