Knife scales

I have a Perrin neck knife that I love to carry but the handle really lacks anything to really grip. I used skate board tape on the handle to enhance the grip but it still lacks a good grip. I am thinking that G10 scales would enhance the grip while adding a little thickness to be able to get a better grip.

I have no experience with G10 and would not know how to proceed. Anyone care to share what I would need to do? Would I use pins or some type of adhesive to mount the scales?

Anything else I am missing? Any help is appreciated...
