Post your knife scar pics here. Also, if you can, post pics of the offending blade. Details of the ordeal are cool also.

My story:
Had a double edged 4.5" dive knife enter my foot once. I was young (13) and stupid. I was "flipping" the knife around, in awe of it's perfect balance. However, the knife's balance was much better than mine. I tossed the knife up, to flip it over and recatch it. However, I failed the "recatch" part, and the knife plumeted tip-down towards (and into) my foot. It impailed me, right between my big and second toes (about 2" back from the jam). The knife when all the way through... My first thought wasn't "darn, I almost lost a toe", it was "damn, my mom's gonna take this thing away from me". lol. Well, 20 years later, and I still have the nice blade profile scar nestled right ontop of my foot, though the knife was mysteriously "lost" by one my roomates in college. Loved that thing! It had a sweet edge, balanced skeletonized grip and an awesome sheeth! $20 years ago, the thing retailed for over $50 and thats a lot for a dive knife back then. I think they also marketed it to the rambo types, in a blacked out version. I think the brand was Tekna (who made dive equip.). I think Tekna was later bought up by the Rayovac corperation, to aquire Tekna's dive light market. Damn sweet knife though. Pretty sweet scar too!

Can't post the scar pic yet... but I'm working on it. Besides, who really wants to see a pic of my foot... It's al hairy like a hobbit's! :barf:

Dang... I'm a cop now, but spent years as a firefighter/emt. I've seen death, charred bodies, and dismemberment. I don't know why, but that finger sent chills down my spine. Ewwww!

;)

I'm with Tom, I am getting rid of all my box cutters.

not me, i got a warm fuzzy feeling, smiled and said, "excellent"...
my god, what's wrong with me?

How the heck did you cut the whole length of the finger? After the first two inches wouldnt it have dawned on you, "oh crap!"? Im jsut trying to imagine in what way you were cutting that you wer able to go the whole length of the finger like that...

I got bit two weeks ago, not by a knife, but by a chainsaw. It was messy and deep but I was lucky - the cut stopped right at the muscle, leaving no major muscle or tendon damage. Could've been much worse.

Here's a pic I took with my cell phone after they cleaned it up, cut out the shreds and sewed everything up nice and tight - it looked so much better then.

I took the stitches out a few days ago (to the delight of my coworkers who crowded around my cubicle to watch) and it looks to be healing up nicely, but it'll probably still leave a mark.

I've got a cute little scar on my other leg from a Burt Foster camp knife, but no pics handy.
