knife-seeking dog! (cute story)

Wouldn't it be funny if there was a movie where a woman finds a dog that ran off and the owner came to pick it up and he was an ******* and then the woman who gave it to the guy regretted doing so so she FOUND OUT WHERE HE AND HIS MOTHER LIVE and WENT THERE and THE DOG WENT TO HER AND SHE TOOK IT HOME AND GAVE IT A HAPPY LIFE AND NOBODY KNEW OTHERWISE EXCEPT FOR HER AND HER DOG?

Gee Ashes.....sorry I don't have any advice :( ;) :D

Just sayin....

uhoh, sounds like you are a two dog house now.

Yeah, two's a piece of cake Ashes. We have six now, and they all live in the house with us. Wouldn't have it any other way. Huey sleeps down by my left leg, Bear sleeps on my left side till he gets too warm and has to jump off to the floor, Georgie sleeps under the bed on my side and Argyle sleeps under the bed on Jill's side, Angus sleeps next to Jill's head on the side of her pillow (he's just a little guy) and Yogi sleeps down at Jill's feet. It's like having a bunch of Teddy Bears in the room with you at night. They're all good puppies. There's enough love to go around. The only time it gets scary is when the Vet bill has to be paid.

Ashes, I like your style... you deserve the 'Compassionate Dog Lover' award! But since I don't think there really is one of them around, how about some extra green chicklets? :) Sometimes it hurts to find the owner of a lost dog but you did the right thing!

:( I was getting attached to her too.

If I could go back in time, I wouldn't have even reported her "found". I should have just kept her.

Someone invent me a time machine. I don't care if she IS old and senile and I don't want another dog; I'd still keep her.

Ah, hell. I should have read this before I posted the other note above. I'm sorry. Sometimes, maybe it isn't the best thing for a dog to go "home." She should absolutely have a collar, with tags and an info tag. They're dirt cheap and allow people to return your dog if he/she is lost. Sounds like these folks are somewhat irresponsible. I'm wishing the best for Annie (like your name better) and if she gets loose and ends up at the knife shop again, don't say a word to anybody.

That's okay; I realized you didn't read it before posting. :)

If she does show up again, she's gonna be my little secret. I wish I did know where these people lived... Um, no, that would be wrong! ;)

If she comes back, I will take her home and clip her down so that she is unrecognizable and feels more comfortable without all that fur! I could easily make her look like a different dog. ;) (ashes=former dog groomer)

I even brushed her again this morning. She looked much better than when I found her. I wonder if anyone noticed. I hope she had a warm welcome home and not a scolding or something... :(
