Knife seen in Modern Warfare?

the throwing knife can be thrown, and then when its on the ground you can look at it. ill take a pic sometime later tonight and post it up if no one beats me to it.

That's true. You can get an even closer look at it on the ground with the ACOG. The throwing knife doesn't look much like a throwing knife though. It looks more like a combat knife.

true. but in the story the original throwing knife was the combat knife you get stabbed with and then you throw it. so i guess they just kept that one for online

I don't think this is the same knife, but I was wondering if anyone knew what this one was, too.

Kabar perhaps? This is the knife I thought of when it gets drawn on that mission before you stab the guy...just add serrations.

edit: To be honest I think they're both made up, but if you ask me this is the inspiration for the knife in question.

Looks like the knife that is thrown is similar to a Strider Gunner Grip model. BT-GG, WB-GG or MT-GG.

It's propably a knife modeled after some real world knife, then altered a little to avoid licencing the knife for the game.

It's none of them. If you look at it more carefully, it's kind of like tactical kitchen knife with false edge and serrations. The edge is running horisontally (or is it vertically or neither?) lower than the handle.

edit: here's a mockup:

Anyone else thinking Tatang handle and Crucible blade? The handle on the small knife used for so many of the silent kills in the ingame cinematics looks to have a shorter blade than the Tatang, but the right handle. But the scales are dimpled G10 from the look of it.

What says you all?

I agree, it kinda looks like a tatang with g10 and a shortened blade and serations

You guys do realize(I hope), that it's not made out of anything, it's fake, it doesn't exist in real life, it's pixels on a computer screen drawn from design aspects of several different knives in a completely artificial 3d environment and then programmed into the game's coding.

I doubt they're created from existing models. They seem to be modeled after a few designs, but I don't see anything that looks exactly like the knives in the game. I'm sure the IW art designers had this in mind so they wouldn't have lawsuits thrown at them.
